An investigation officer from Satiana police station was suspended from on Thursday charges of accepting bribe from a complainant in a murder case registered at Jaranwala City police station. Police spokesman Muhammad Ramazan told newsmen police had registered a case on Muhammad Imran’s complaint against Riaz, Muhsan, Umar Daraz over the death of his brother Muhammad Adnan, resident of Makkoana, his cousin Qasim and relatives Iqbal and Wajid Imran. “Inspector Iqbal Baloch of Satiana police station was asked to investigate the case,” he said.



“Baloch allegedly demanded Rs150,000 from the complainant for arresting the suspects and eventually received Rs100,000 from the complainant”. He said Imran made a video of the investigation officer taking the money and showed it to senior police officials. The spokesman said CPO Sohail Habib Tajik had suspended the officer and ordered an inquiry against him.
