“FIRs against my husband are piling up and they are false,” Fehmida said, waving the copies of the reports registered against her husband former home minister Sindh Zulfiqar Mirza while addressing the media from Badin.
She urged senior political leaders to take note of this and emphasised that her own party, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) should not ignore this.
The former speaker complained about how inadequate security was provided to her husband and said that police has been deployed outside every entrance of their farmhouse.
“I reached Badin at 4am and I saw that police vans were parked outside every entrance. I only got some sense of security when I saw media vans,” she said.

Fehmida said that when she inquired into who had ordered police vans to park outside their farmhouse, she did not get a straight response.
“I want to know who is running the show,” she said, adding later during the day the police was removed only to be shifted to the outskirts of the village.
“The media should go and expose this,” she added.
Further, Fehmida also said that she is willing to go to courts despite her medical condition.
“If it comes upon me, I will go to the courts and contest these FIRs, despite having suffered from cancer,” she said.

Earlier on Sunday, Zulfiqar Mirza stormed a police station in Badin and manhandled security personnel for trying to arrest and registering an FIR against his aide.
Mirza reportedly stormed the Model police station along with his supporters, abused the officials and damaged furniture for filing a case against Nadeem Mughal.
In retaliation, local traders filed a case against Mirza and 20 of his supporters for attacking and threatening them, and damaging their property.
