Representing the nation: Dow researchers win biosafety prize

A wide range of experts chaired and spoke at pre-conference courses

KARACHI: Medical researchers belonging to the department of molecular pathology at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) received an award for their research work at the 18th annual meeting of the European Biosafety Association held in Vienna, Austria. DUHS officials said the event, one of the major global biosafety and biosecurity events of the year, showcased two posters from DUHS. The poster presented by Dr Saeed Khan, a medical technologist and Noorulaine Masood, a biosafety officer, titled ‘Inter-Departmental Survey to Check the Impact of Biosafety Training Sessions Among Lab Employees’ was selected as the best poster. A wide range of experts chaired and spoke at pre-conference courses, plenary sessions and parallel sessions, where they discussed the latest information regarding biosafety and biosecurity.
