Farmer Carolyn Crews was stunned when Annabel the calf was born in a field on her family land. But vets have said there is nothing they can do to keep Annabel alive for long.

Carolyn has pledged to care for the miracle animal for the duration of its short life and feeds her four times a day.

She told First Coast News, "It was just like a surprise because no one has even seen anything like this around here, or really anywhere, for that matter.

"A birth like this happens every one in 400 million times. I don't think it was meant to be for something like this to live. You know, I don't think she's going to make it. She might have pneumonia... I mean there is no telling."

The calf was born on the small farm in Baker County, Florida on Monday.

It is believed the calf was born with a condition called polycephaly - where an embryo begins to split into twins, but stops.
