DERA GHAZI KHAN:

A five-year-old child died and four others suffered injuries in a roof collapse incident in Dera Ghazi Khan on Friday.

Rescue 1122 officials said Noor, 5, her three other siblings and their father Ghulam Raza were rescued from the rubble and taken to a hospital where the child died.

The body was handed over to the family for burial. Rescue officials said a windstorm in the area might have caused the collapse.

However, talking to the media at the hospital, Raza said his father and a brother who live next door had run out of space in their house. He said they had kept some of their belongings on the roof of his one-room house.

He said he believed the weight of their belongings could have caused the collapse.
