Commissioner talks: ‘Balance chlorine level in water’

He also suggested the launch of an awareness campaign on naegleria

KARACHI: Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said that balanced chlorine levels must be maintained and samples of water collected throughout the city. He said this in a letter sent to the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board managing director and the Health department secretary. He also suggested the launch of an awareness campaign on naegleria. Siddiqui said naegleria is a dangerous disease and all precautionary steps should be taken. He also suggested that an awareness campaign be launched in the city regarding protective measures against dengue, with kits and nets being provided at hospitals.
