PESHAWAR:
Peshawar police arrested a member of the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) on Friday for attempting to use fake National Identity Cards for casting votes in his favour during the cantonment board elections.
Shamsur Rehman was contesting for cantonment board elections from Peshawar Ward No. 3 when he was held by the security forces.
Earlier, it was reported that Rehman was kidnapped by unidentified men. According to APML President Aurangzeb Mohammand, Rehman was abducted by opponents in the election.
