Under fire: IHC summons heads of four ministries
Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi directed the respondents to appear before the court
ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) summoned on Thursday four heads of different ministries and departments in different contempt cases. The contempt petitions filed by Raja Saifur Rehman advocate were against Secretary Health Mohammad Ayub Sheikh, Secretary Climate change Arif Ahmad Khan, Director General National Commission for Human Development Dr Allah Bakash Malik and former Chief Commissioner Islamabad Tariq Pirzada. The petitioners had gone to the court saying despite regularisation of their services under orders of the court, the authorities concerned declined to implement court directions and their salaries were withheld. Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi directed the respondents to appear before the court following the petitioners filed contempt petitions for non-compliance of the orders.
