Kidnapping for ransom: ATC awards death sentence to abductor

The anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday sentenced a man to death two times in an abduction for ransom case.
Muhammad Adeel was found guilty of kidnapping Saad Ali on July 11, 2014 for ransom. The judge, Asif Majeed Awan, gave his judgment after recording evidence and listening to arguments from both the sides.
The court also ordered confiscation of moveable and immoveable property of the convict. According to the prosecution, the accused had abducted the victim and received Rs350,000 for his release.
