Bilateral ties: Chinese delegation visits LCCI

The Chamber expressed optimism that Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit would give a big boost to Pakistan’s economy

LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Monday expressed optimism that Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit would give a big boost to Pakistan’s economy. Talking to a Chinese delegation, led by Qinghai Provincial Commerce Department Director General Yu Xiao, LCCI President Ijaz A Mumtaz said China had played a significant role in the economic development of Pakistan. He observed that the visit would not only further cement trade and economic ties between the two countries but would also pave the way for joint ventures between Pakistani and Chinese businessmen in various sectors of economy. On the occasion, a number of topics of mutual interest came under discussion and both sides pledged to play their due role in strengthening bilateral economic ties.
