HYDERABAD: An explosion took place on Monday morning on a railway track in Hyderabad, Express News reported.

According to the Bomb Disposal Squad, unidentified assailants attacked the track using 500 kilograms of explosive material. “The explosives were locally made,” it added.

The blast damaged around 1.5ft of the railway track in Hussainabad area and disrupted train services in the city. As a result of the incident, trains were stranded at the Hyderabad railway station.

Soon after the incident, police conducted a search operation in the area and confirmed that the blast did not lead to any causalities.

On February 12, at least 15 people were injured in a blast on a railway track near Thul town of Jacobabad.

The blast derailed three bogeys of the Khushhal Khan Khattak Express train, causing injuries to those near the track.

Khan | 8 years ago | Reply I think you need to make some corrections here, 500Kg of explosives will damage a LOT more than just 1.5 feet of track!!!
