An anti-terrorism court (ATC) remanded on Saturday four suspects to police custody for a week in cases of possessing illicit weapons and explosives.
Fahad, Zeeshan, Faizan and Bilal were produced in ATC-III by the Garden police, who claimed that they were arrested during a raid conducted on a tip-off a day earlier. "We seized Kalashnikovs and hand grenades from them," claimed the IO.
The suspects, on the other hand, denied the charges. "We were picked up by the Rangers in February," they said, adding that a petition about them as missing persons had been pending in the Sindh High Court.
