The incident occurred after the security convoy had passed the vicinity of the blast and no one was injured.

“The device went off when there was no vehicle around. As a result it did not lead to any casualties” said a police official while talking to The Express Tribune.

Yesterday (Thursday), four men were arrested from the garrison city on Wednesday for allegedly injuring a serving Pakistan Army official.

Maj Ashan Saghir was driving to the Race Course area when, at around 6pm, a motorcycle hit the rear side of the army official’s car, said the investigation officer (IO), Muhammad Mazhar. “An irate Saghir got into a heated argument with the motorcyclist, identified as Muhammad Rameez.”
