University of swat: Governor chairs first senate meeting
"University’s administration must expedite work on development activities"
PESHAWAR:
Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad chaired the first meeting of the senate of University of Swat (UoS) at Governor House on Tuesday.
He told the university’s administration to expedite work on development activities so public money could work for the benefit of the student community based on merit.
Mehtab also directed a committee headed by the finance secretary to look into problems faced by UoS and explore the options for the expansion of universities.
Four members of the senate were selected for retirement – former Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief secretary Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, Abdul Wali Khan University Dean of Management Sciences Dr Zahoorul Haq, retired judge Sher Muhammad Khan and Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad Department of Biotechnology Chairman Professor Dr Zabta Khan.
