IPL 2015: Gayle guides Bangalore to win

.

News Desk April 12, 2015

It was one of the better days for the mercurial Chris Gayle, as the opener’s quickfire 96 off 56 deliveries led stuttering Royal Challengers Bangalore to a three-wicket win over defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday. Gayle struck seven boundaries and as many sixes to make up for the otherwise lacklustre performance of the visitors’ batting line-up, with AB de Villiers’ 28 runs the next best score. The West Indies veteran was run-out, but not before ensuring that his team was well on its way to achieve its 178-run target.
