ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Muhammad Bilal Afridi, an accused in Rs7.5 billion Modarba scam on charges of cheating public in the guise of Islamic mode of investment. Afridi is director of Mufti Ehsanul Haq Fiayyzi Group of Industries. The NAB Rawalpindi is currently investigating 96 cases of Modarba scam and has arrested 31 persons. Although Modarba is highly regulated sector, some scrupulous elements set up fake Modarba firms to dupe people.
