6,000 policemen to perform security duty at churches
Religious sentiments were running high in the city following the suicide attacks

In the wake of a possible law-and-order situation, as many as 6,000 policemen were deployed at mosques and churches in the city on Friday. As many policemen will perform security duty at the churches on Sunday.
The Punjab Ranger’s spokesperson said three companies of the Punjab Rangers (approximately 500 officials) would perform security duty alongside the police in Youhanabad. A senior police official said that religious sentiments were running high in the city following the suicide attacks. A heavy contingent of policemen and rangers has deployed in the area to deal with any untoward incidents.
