Holding on: Three victims of church attacks on life support

A patient who was referred to Mayo Hospital with third degree burns succumbed to his injuries

LAHORE: Three people of the twin attacks on churches in Youhanabad are still on life support at the Lahore General Hospital.

As many as 18 lives were lost in the attack. Of the 70 people who were brought to LGH on March 15, 35 were discharged with minor injuries on the same day and 18 others the following day.  As many as 15 people were killed on the spot and two others died at the hospital the next day.

A patient who was referred to Mayo Hospital with third degree burns succumbed to his injuries on Thursday. Lahore General Hospital officials said 10 patients were still undergoing treatment. They said three were in a critical condition. They said that one person who was injured in a car accident during the riots following the attack was also on life support.
