LAHORE:

The suicide attacks at the two churches in Youhanabad indicate that the provincial government has failed in protecting the life and property of the citizens, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leaders said on Sunday.

They were speaking to the media at the Lahore General Hospital.

They demanded that the number of policemen assigned duties with VIPs should be decreased so that they could do a more effective job at preventing terrorist attacks in future.

Chaudhry demanded that the government give Rs2 million to each affected family to compensate them for their losses. He also asked the government to arrange free of charge medical facilities for the injured. MPA Shanila Ruth said though fight against terrorism was a collective effort, the government needed to take the lead.  Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed was present at the occasion.
