Taking The Charge: Sindh govt appoints new secretaries

He will be the fifth home secretary since the May 2013 general elections

KARACHI: The Sindh government appointed Mukhtiar Ahmed Soomro as the home secretary and Imran Atta Soomro as the local government secretary on Friday. Mukhtiar, who was earlier the services secretary, took charge after the notification was issued by the services, general administration and coordination department. He will be the fifth home secretary since the May 2013 general elections, having been preceded by Mumtaz Shah, Dr Niaz Ali Abbasi, Abdul Rahim Soomro and Abdul Qazi Kabir.
