Quetta raid: Rs12 million smuggled diesel seized

QUETTA: Thwarting a bid of smuggling, Quetta Customs apprehended five oil tankers carrying 150,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel near Ghazaband area of Quetta. The seized fuel values worth Rs12.15 million in the international market. The sources said that acting on a tip-off, a team comprising Custom Check Post Baleli and mobile squad was constituted. Custom team along with the Frontier Corps intercepted five oil tankers near Ghazaband and a huge quantity of Iranian diesel was seized under the provision of Custom Act 1969.
