Facilitating women: Children’s Hospital gets daycare centre

LAHORE: Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheeduddin inaugurated a daycare centre on Thursday at the Nursing Hostel of the Children’s Hospital. She said the daycare centre would offer quality care for the children. “A working women hostel project at Children’s Hospital is also under consideration. The government had taken the initiative to facilitate working women,” she said. She said that about 60 daycare centres would be established in the province. “So far, funds have been released for the establishment of 33 daycare centres. The government has increased job quota for women from five to 15 percent. Similarly, 50 percent quota has been allocated for women in the youth loan scheme,” the minister said. She said that another daycare centre would be inaugurated at Jinnah Hospital on Saturday.
