Alert issued: Rains continue

Rainwater entered houses in low-lying areas and also flooded the emergency department of the Holy Family Hospital.

RAWALPINDI: The water level in Nullah Leh receded on Tuesday, yet the local administration remains on high alert as the Met department forecast more rains.      

On Monday, sirens had gone off to alert people in low-lying areas after water level surged to 12 feet near the New Katarian and 15 feet under Gawalmandi Bridge.


Water and Sanitation Agency chief Shaukat Mehmmnood said
rainwater entered houses in low-lying areas and also flooded the emergency department of the Holy Family Hospital.
