Ali Zafar and wife name baby girl Alyza

Following the birth of Ali Zafar's daughter on February 23 the couple have decided to name her Alyza after lengthy discussions, The Times of India reported. 

The couple, who got married in 2009, also has a four-year-old boy Azaan who found the name for his baby sister.

"We have decided on calling her Alyza which means joy. It was my son Azaan, who was strongly rooting for the name and we finally went with his suggestion. I am thrilled to see him beautifully slipping into the role of an elder brother," said Ali.

Other than his Bollywood debut with "Tere Bin Laden" in 2010 and his several commercials in Pakistan, Zafar also paid a musical tribute to the victims of the Peshawar School Attack last year.

The star took to his Twitter account to announce the name along with others who shared the news on social media.
