Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) chairman Marvi Memon said on Sunday that the police and bank officials found disturbing the women beneficiaries of the scheme will be handled according to the law. Instead these officials should be helping the deserving women when they come to withdraw cash from banks and ATMs, she said. Marvi was on a tour of Kotri and Bhitt Shah to meet the poor women of the area and listen to their problems regarding BISP, said a press release. She said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed to ensure transparency in BISP and its enhancement to support more and more deserving women. Marvi assured the poor women of Bhit Shah and Kotri that PML-N government would make efforts to resolve their problems.
