LAHORE: Shaikh Zayed Hospital (SZH) Paramedical Staff Association on Monday boycotted work in the outdoor department to protest the administration’s failure to meet its demands including provision of a service structure. PSA president Abdul Ghafoor Alvi said their strike would continue till their demands were met. So far, he said, there were no plans to expand the boycott of work to indoor wards and operation theatres. SZH acting chairman Dr Farrukh Iqbal said he had called a meeting of the administrative staff of the hospital on Tuesday (today) to discuss the situation. He said he hoped the matter would be resolved till Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Young Doctors’ Association SZH chapter will begin their strike from Tuesday (today).
