Targeted attack: PML-N leader shot dead

He was shot at least three times and died on the spot.

KARACHI: A leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was gunned down in Manghopir on Monday. The victim was identified as Haji Zahoor, 65, son of Syed Ahmed. The family of the victim said that he left home after receiving a phone call from someone and was killed soon after by unidentified men. He was shot at least three times and died on the spot. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where a number of PML-N leaders and workers gathered and condemned the incident. Police officials said that the deceased was a resident of Ramzan Goth, Manghopir and was associated with the real estate business. SHO Ghulam Hussain Korai said that the deceased used to live in Faqir Colony, Orangi town and was also a former councilor of the area. The motive behind the killing has yet to be ascertained.
