SUKKUR/ NAUSHERO FEROZE:


A three-day anti-polio drive will start from March 2 in 11 union councils of Naushero Feroz.


This was announced in a meeting chaired by deputy commissioner Mirza Nasir Ali on Friday. The focal person of the campaign, Dr Fida Hussain Memon, told the meeting that 286 teams have been formed to make the campaign successful.


Polio drops will be administered to 62,703 children in the district. Meanwhile, commissioner Muhammad Abbas Baloch paid a visit to 20 high-risk union councils of Sukkur. The three-day polio drive began on Friday in the district. According to health officer Dr Irfanullah Qureshi, around 615 vaccination mobile teams will administer the drops to 269,208 children. Different teams will provide the drops at hospitals, bus stands and railway stations.
