KARACHI: As if contesting elections from NA 253 and doing his show Living on the Edge from D-chowk during the PTI dharna wasn’t enough, Waqar Zaka has come up with a new show named Line Pe Ajao for this year’s ICC Cricket World Cup. The show, according to Zaka, will be a travelogue mixed with other entertaining bits such as the search for his “dream girl.”

To get access to his show, smart phone users will have to download the Line application, makers of which are officially on board with Zaka for the live streaming and data sharing of his show. “While all the TV channels will focus on the match, I will be in the crowd, talking to them and capturing their vengeance against the opposing team,” said Zaka. “Just imagine how it would feel to be in the stands of the Pakistan versus India cricket match and bring that action live for mobile phone users,” he added.

“The show will be a mixture of a travelogue, my hunt for my dream girl and a lot of other entertaining stuff, which will keep the audiences engaged during Pakistan’s matches,” he stated. He shared that the show would essentially follow the format of Borat, except “I will submerge myself in the crowd as Borat.”

Although Zaka remains highly optimistic about finding his dream girl in the crowd, he isn’t very confident about Pakistan’s prospects in the World Cup. “If Pakistan leaves the World Cup early, so will I. I am only going there to do something original for my fans and followers. The show would also prove my critics wrong, who think that I have not done anything original as yet. All I can say to them right now is, ‘Line pe ajao’.”
