The department said dengue was the most widespread vector-borne infection

The Environment Protection Department directed commissioners on Tuesday to take immediate steps to improve cleanliness arrangements in their districts. The department asked them to properly dispose of solid waste and take steps to prevent outbreak of dengue fever. It said water storage facilities should be covered and water leaks prevented.
