LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge directed the Federal Investigation Agency on Monday to conduct an inquiry into claims that some NADRA employees had prepared fake documents of three children who were then sent abroad.

Petitioner Naeem Arshad, a resident of Sahiwal, said he had married Humaira in 2002 and they had three children. “We separated due to rising domestic disputes. My wife then sent my children, all of them minors, abroad.”

“She prepared bogus birth certificates and managed to get passports of the three children with the help of some NADRA staff. Abdulghaffar, a human trafficker, sent the children to South Africa,” he said.

He requested the court to direct the FIA to register an FIR against the NADRA workers.
