Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood, who took over reins as producers of Coke Studio last year, brought together artists who they worked with during the seventh season to make a two minute and 40 second long song.
The uplifting track is a Coke Studio rendition of "Who Rule the World" by Kasey Carlone and Matt Slogett which was used as the theme song of the 1992 World Cup in Australia which Pakistan had won. With Pakistan heading back to Australia and New Zealand to challenge for the ultimate crown in cricket, this rendition refreshes and finally localises that iconic world cup anthem.
The song starts off with Atif Aslam singing the opening sequence of the song.
The video (by Asadul Haq) and its song features Jimmy Big Ears, Amina Shaikh, Adnan Malik, Asrar, actor Adnan Siddiqui, Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia
It also features a cameo appearance by 1992 world cup winner Javed Miandad.

i love this song because it is full of motivation.i am not interested in cricket but i always inspired from hard working done by any one.u understand what i want to express?thank u.again this song is beautiful.dont discourage yourselves.bye
What a shame, we haven't had a single worthy World Cup anthem since Junoon's awesome 'Jazba Junoon' in 1996 (it might sound corny, but that song still gets me through tough times). In the last WC Ali Azmat's song Josh e Junoon was pretty good but it was also mostly lifted off Jazba Junoon. This tune is just cringe-worthy - Strings seem to have completely run out of ideas (and decent singers, for that matter) after Coke Studio.
Not even close to the energy level this nations has for world cup, Atif & Strings are Ok, but the rest of the team is all who actually cheers on FIFA - Burgers ;)
@PakDude: I've looked over Jordan, and I have seen Things are not what they seem - Roger Waters.
Stop blaming on others and be a man enough to take the ownership. Introspection is the best mirror.
By the way, by Indian standards this song is over the top. However by measuring on Pakistani standards and even supreme Coke Studio standards the song not only lacks grip and at the same time it lacked creative direction. So many musicians, no where to go.
Let's not blame others. We are a proud nation.
If I don't stand on my own ground, how can I find the way out of this maze. - Roger Waters
Yawn...
Great Atif Sir. Love U Atif Aslam !! <3
where is the energy?...and talking about lifting game??
First Disappointment before the cup :-/
better check 'boom boom world cup' on youtube :P
Today heard two new songs: this one and a number by Shehzad Roy for a cellular company promo...Roy wins by far.
It is funny how anything motivational Pakistani is immediately attacked by Indian trolls on the hunt. We all know this is a good song and brings nice memories when Pakistan won the World Cup in Australia (err not your local ground & crowd and pathetic pitches). Talked to quite a few friends and relatives- they all loved it. So trolls.. just don't make it THAT obvious..! Hiding behind weird nicks is obvious enough..! :)
Pure garbage. They can't even figure out that the first couple of lyrics are not even in "sur" by Atif Bakra Aslam.
It's amazing that 20 years of music experience can dish out this rubbish! Amazing
Hey guys! This is atif aslams worst song didn't expect that from atif aslam and strings so sad they did so much but all in vain. Just a couple of celebrities
To be honest, not many people outside Common Wealth Countries care about Cricket. So Jahan is not at all in Josh for this :)
Totally original. I can't believe no one on earth ever thought about remixing and relaunching an old song. This requires so much creativity that only the number one band in Pakistan like Strings can muster. Strings, Atif Aslam and every other musician/model in this video must have worked really really hard on producing this ground breaking track. Plus, its motivational on so many levels and does not look like an advert for Coke at all.
horrible
What a horrible composition this is. And Atif Aslam just cannot sing in tune.
Where is even the Pakistani flag in the song?!
I have one word : Bekaar
Surely, This is looking more related to promotion of coke studio and less to bring any inspiration/motivation. really very bad !!!
didnt expected so low from Strings, they have become like indian copy kings, nothing of quality and why do they go thre??
This is really bad!
Unfortunately, quite meaningless, yet another vehicle for Coke. That '92 World Cup song was for the channel 9. Hence it was for all the participating nations. This song is supposedly for Pak cricket team? Sans the name Pakistan.
This is really bad...
