Rohit Sharma surpasses Sachin Tendulkar to achieve new ODI landmark

Sharma reached the milestone during India’s opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against Bangladesh.

Indian Captain Rohit Sharma has become the second-fastest batter to score 11,000 runs in One-Day Internationals (ODIs).

Sharma reached the milestone during India’s opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

The 37-year-old achieved this feat in 261 ODI innings, averaging 49.05 with a strike rate of 92.69, bolstered by 32 centuries and 57 half-centuries.

Sharma now trails only Virat Kohli, who reached 11,000 runs in just 222 innings. Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar reached the mark in his 276th ODI innings.
