Temporal education: Govt to send teachers to seminaries

ISLAMABAD:
The government will provide teachers to seminaries across the country to teach and train students in formal (temporal) education. This was stated by education minister Balighur Rehman on Wednesday while addressing a medal and prize distribution ceremony at the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE). The minister said under the new project, teachers will be provided to 100 madrassas in the first phase. He added that the managements of madrassas have expressed willingness to equip students with formal education. Rehman also said that Rs50 million has been approved for the capacity building of different boards of education at the provincial level. He said that the National Curriculum Council will be functional soon.
