FPCCI demands: ‘No tax on security services’

.

ISLAMABAD:
Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Mian Mohammad Adrees has said the government should levy sales tax on the profit of security companies instead of their security services to the public, which is in fact the responsibility of the government. He stated that the security of people and their assets is the responsibility of the government but it cannot provide security at every level of the society. “The business community normally hires the services of security companies for their security but they are under the burden of heavy taxes,” he said in a meeting with All Pakistan Security Agencies Association (APSAA) Chairman Major (Retired) Munir Ahmed, who visited the FPCCI along with his team to meet the office-bearers of the federation. Adrees asked the government officials to withdraw the sales tax from security companies.
