KARACHI:
The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will hold a ‘million march’ on main University Road near Hasan Square on Sunday, January 25, announced the party’s Karachi chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on Wednesday. The protest is being organised to condemn the blasphemous caricatures published in the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, said Rehman as he chaired a meeting of JI’s sub-organisations at Jamia Masjid alHuda in North Karachi. JI chief Sirajul Haq will address the demonstrators. Rehman added that JI will hold protest demonstrations outside different mosques after Friday prayers as well.
