Government aims to bring end to load-shedding by 2017, says Khawaja Asif
The minister also said petroleum prices would be reduced further next month

Khawaja Asif, Minister for Water and Power on Monday, expressed hope to bring an end to power and load-shedding by 2017, Radio Pakistan reported.
Speaking to a news channel, he had said that the government is working on a number of projects to work towards this aim.
He said that electricity shortage had been witnessed during winter because of less hydel power generation.
In response to a question, Asif said Nandipur Power Plant would be fully operational in two years.
When questioned on the current petrol shortage, he said the government was taking steps to overcome the crisis as quickly as possible.
