Addressing the three-hour long meeting which was underway at the PM house on Wednesday, the prime minister said, "military courts are soon to be constituted and the cases to be tried in these courts are being selected through a process."
He went on to add that all stakeholders would have to work hand in hand to implement NAP. "The government will lend its support to the provinces. All resources should be utilised to implement the NAP," he added.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and Balochistan Chief Minister Malik Baloch are present at the meeting as well as Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Chudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and K-P Governor Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi.
Other concerned officials are also in attendance of the meeting.
According to the official handout, the meeting will review progress on the implementation of the National Action Plan in each province. All CMs will give individual briefings on the plan
According to some participants, stakeholders are satisfied with the efforts of Punjab and K-P governments in the implementation of the NAP. However, they suggested that the PM should request the Sindh and Balochistan governments expedite the implementation.
Apex committees have been formed to implement NAP at the provincial level, where the concerned CM, home minister along with COAS and concerned Corp Commanders are to hold meetings to review NAP implementation with coordinated efforts.
The army chief held apex committee meetings with Punjab CM in Lahore and K-P CM in Peshawar in the first week of the January.
All four CMs will apprise the PM and COAS about their efforts towards the implementation of the NAP.
Punjab has so far issued five ordinances to monitor and check residences on rent, misuse of loudspeakers and other laws pertaining to counter and address every aspect and angle of terrorism and extremism in their province.
Those in attendance of the meeting will also be briefed on the overall situation of operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Military representatives will also apprise the meeting on the functionality of the 9 military courts which are not yet functional. Stakeholders will devise a mechanism for the running of these military courts.

Mr. Nawaz Sharif why don't you form a judicial commission for starters.
Addressing the meeting, the prime minister said, “militant courts are soon to be constituted and the cases to be tried in these courts are being selected through a process.”
Is it Militant Courts or Military Courts kindly clarify
If so......why is Abdul Aziz and his wife of Lal Masjid still free to spread hate and support terrorists ?
@salman Doesn't seem like you are PTI supporter.
There's a difference between 'willing to do everything', and 'doing everything' !
The past 8 year have really messed up the history of the country !!! what incompetent people we have running the government ..
I am a PTI supporter. But I will support Nawaz fully if he shows that he is serious and ruthless with dealing with terrorists and facilitates the Pakistan army.
Such meetings are typical of an incompetent PM.It is also waste of time at public expense. Terrorist Aziz of Lal Masjid and all killers of Modal Town and Faisalabad are still free which amply reveals the reality of this farce.Interior Minister has suddenly gone quiet. This is also an attempt to distract public attention from Petrol Disaster.
I think this incompetent goverment is only good in making plans on paper and never full fills it just like there election menefesto. What has improved in this goverments tenure, first time in life we have to line up for petrol another feather in the cap for this family run enterprise..
