KARACHI:
Two police personnel were unable to identify the key suspects in a policeman’s murder case, before an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday. MNA Shahjehan Baloch, notorious gangsters Amin Buledi, Ramzan, and their absconding accomplices, were booked for assaulting the police during an operation in Lyari in April 2012 when head constable Muhammad Altaf, and some civilians were killed. Head constable Navid Ahmed and constable Amir Baig were unable to identify the accused and said that they had not seen the suspects properly due to darkness. During the previous hearing, three police officers including an SHO of the Baghdadi police station were declared hostile witnesses as they had deposed nearly the same statements. ATC-III judge, Saleem Raza Baloch, adjourned the hearing till January 27.
