Combined income group: SPI falls week-on-week
The SPI for the lowest income group stood at 199.82 points against 202.58 in the previous week

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended January 15, 2015 registered a decrease of 0.99% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the group stood at 199.82 points against 202.58 in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group decreased 0.34% from 210.53 points in the previous week to 209.14 in the week under review. Compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined income group increased 0.33%. During the week, average prices of 17 items in a selected basket of goods fell, prices of 8 items rose and rates of remaining 28 recorded no change.
