Embezzlement: Former PESCO official arrested
PESHAWAR:
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a former chief executive of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) on charges of corruption. According to an FIA official, Parvez Akhtar Shah was detained over alleged embezzlement of Rs13 million. The official added Shah was appointed as Pesco chief executive a few weeks back, but was later removed following demonstrations against the accused.
