ISLAMABAD:
Ulema and religious scholars from different schools of thought extended their complete support to the government initiatives taken to uproot extremism and terrorism from the country, saying that all religious sects were united against terrorism. Talking to PTV, Khateeb Badshahi Masjid Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad said there should be public execution of the elements involved in terrorism and the process should be prompt and without any discrimination. Allama Raghib Naeemi of Dar-ul-Uloom Jamia Nameemia Lahore said there should be complete ban on gauging Islamic status of others by any individual or sect. Markazi Ameer Jamat Ahl-e-Hadith Allama Zubair Ahmed Zaheer said the constitutional amendments were made in light of religious decrees issued by Imam Khana-e-Kaaba, Imam Masjid-e-Nabvi, Jamiatul Azhar.
