QUETTA: At least four people were killed and three others injured on Wednesday in a bloody clash between people dealing with drugs on Qambrani Road in Kechi Beig on the outskirts of Quetta.

“There was a dispute between the drug peddlers which got ugly after they opened fire at each other,” SSP Imran Qureshi told reporters.

“Four people were killed on the spot while three were wounded," he added.

Police personnel rushed to the area and transported the dead and injured to the Provincial Sandeman Hospital, Quetta. “Four bodies and three injured were brought here,” Dr Noor Baloch, police surgeon at the hospital, told Express Tribune. The two injured were in critical condition.

Police cordoned off the area after the incident and started an investigation.

“They were drug dealers,” police sources said.  The bodies are kept at the hospital morgue to determine their identities.
