58 Hajj pilgrims abandoned at Jeddah airport

Fifty-eight Pakistani Hajj pilgrims on their way home were left behind by a Saudi airline flight in Jeddah.

Saudia Airline SV-704 arrived at Karachi airport without the 58 passengers. The luggage of the pilgrims however arrived with the flight.

The left behind pilgrims hail from Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas and half of them are women.

After waiting for many hours at the airport, the abandoned pilgrims were taken to a hotel. They complained that they had not been given anything to eat.

No new schedule has been announced for a return flight for these abandoned pilgrims.
