Rawalpindi police have arrested 14 suspects and recovered over 500 gramme hashish, 25 litre alcohol, 10 bottles of liquor and two pistols from their possession.
A Rawalpindi police spokesperson said that RA Bazar police held Waris in possession of 500 gramme hashish. Gungmandi police netted Shoaib for carrying 10 bottles of liquor, while Pirwadhai police apprehended Qaiser with five litres of alcohol.
Waris Khan police booked Saleem for carrying 10 litres of alcohol and Banni police nabbed a suspected bootlegger, Hamza, on recovery of 10 litre alcohol. Other suspects Asif, Javed, Aftab, Taj Khan and Munir were sent behind bars for carrying illegal weapons.
Meanwhile, Bunni police arrested Ali Khan, Mustakeem Khan and Muzamal Khan while New Town police arrested Shafique for illegally decanting liquefied petroleum gas. New Town police rounded up Owais and Danish and recovered fireworks items.
