The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) on Tuesday decided to commemorate the services of party workers who had played role in organising the Azadi march which was ended by the party in the wake of deadly attack on Peshawar school.
PTI would hold a convention on January 17 in Islamabad to commemorate services of its workers in the marathon sit-in, a senior PTI official told The Express Tribune. The tribute would be paid by PTI chairman Imran Khan.
The decision was taken by political committee of the party headed by Vice President Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Though the venue for the convention has not been finalised yet, majority of the workers suggested the venue to be D-Chowk of the constitution avenue where the party had staged its sit-in for 126 days.
