Fire at Karachi oil factory claims 3 lives

Two labourers die as fire erupts at government oil factory in Steel Town.

At least three labourers lost their lives and two others suffered severe burns when a fire broke out in an oil factory in Karachi on Wednesday morning.

A loud bang was followed by a fire breaking out in the furnace boiler of the oil factory, located in Steel Town

Rescue teams and more than half a dozen fire trucks reached the factory and started efforts to control the fire.

Rescue teams shifted the injured and dead bodies to a nearby hospital.

In another incident fire erupted in a garments factory in the Korangi area. No injury or casualty has been reported.
