The traders demanded the load-shedding timings to be brought to a lower level
LARKANA:
Members of Larkana Chamber of Commerce & Industry held a meeting with the Wapda Superintending Engineer Nazir Soomro and Executive Engineer Mushtaque Burdi to express dismay over prolonged load-shedding and voltage fluctuation faced by the trader community.
They said due to non-availability of street lights, crime rate had increased manifold in Larkana streets and many consumers had lost their precious home appliances and costly motors. The traders further demanded the load-shedding timings to be brought to a lower level, especially in areas where monthly bills recovery is better.
Soomro acknowledged that the complaints were genuine, and vowed to resolve them gradually.
He further informed that rupees one billion had been sanctioned for street light work which would start soon, adding that the new grid station would start functioning that will further improve the power supply problems.
