New body: PAS elects office-bearers
The general body also inducted new fellows, who were elected in 2013
ISLAMABAD:
General body of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences Islamabad on Thursday elected its council for 2015-17. Dr Anwar Nasim was elected president and Dr Khalid Mehmood Khan and Dr M Qaiser vice presidents. Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari was elected secretary-general while Dr MD Shami became the treasurer. The general body also inducted new fellows, who were elected in 2013. They include Dr Amin Badshah, Dr Darakhshan J haleem, Dr Abdul Rashid, Dr Khan Bahadar Marwat, Dr Shahid Mansoor, Dr Rasul Jan and Dr Haq Nawaz Bhatti.
