Anti-encroachment drive: Illegal structures demolished

Another anti-encroachment team also carried out an operation in the katchi abadi of Sector H-9

ISLAMABAD: Teams of the civic agency’s enforcement directorate on Thursday carried out anti-encroachment operations and demolished several illegally constructed structures in different parts of the city. The six-room structure, 11 kiosks and a shed adjacent to a hotel and several kiosks near Rawal Dam Chowk had illegally been built, which were demolished, said a press release issued by the Capital Development Agency (CDA) on Thursday. During another operation against illegal structures in Noori Bagh and Chajaar areas of Bari Imam, the CDA team demolished two under-construction houses, three separate rooms and four illegal boundary walls. Another anti-encroachment team also carried out an operation in the katchi abadi of Sector H-9 and demolished two newly constructed rooms and four boundary walls. Eight illegally constructed rooms and seven boundary walls were also demolished in katchi abadi of Sector I-11/1. During another operation, the teams also removed 25 illegal depots of sand and crushed stone from sectors G-8, G-9 and F-8.
